Central Heating Grants & Schemes

An old or inefficient heating system is literally “burning your money”. If you have an old boiler much of the energy you use could be wasted, this isn’t good for you or the environment. For this reason the government have over recent years run a number of schemes to encourage people with older central heating systems to have them replaced with more modern efficient central heating. One of the schemes currently running is

• Warmfront – This rebate is available to help towards repairing or replacing an inoperable system or installing a new central heating system where there is none existing at the property. The cost of work must be over £300 Inc VAT and is only available in English Local Authority Areas. More details of the scheme can be found at http://www.warmfront.co.uk

A scheme that was started in 2010 but has now closed was the Boiler Scrappage Scheme – this was suitable for those with old inefficient boilers and offered up to £400 towards there replacement
